0:00So, my question is more about like mindset. >> Okay. >> I'm a I'm a baby at this business stuff. I went into my career because of my passion of helping people through health >> Okay. >> Chinese medicine. >> Sweet. >> So, now I know that I can like I can do more. And I'm having like an issue of like facing the fear and knowing that I have that potential cuz other people have done it. >> Mhm.

0:25>> And like kind of like creating that next version of myself. >> Sure. >> How do I deal with that? >> So, those are So, this is like for everybody in terms of analyzing what you just asked. What activity are you incapable of doing that you need help with? Because all the word This isn't me banging on you. Um because a lot of the words that you said are really amorphous. Right? Like mindset, for example. It's like, "What does that mean?" Like, no one can define that. I had a lady uh a month ago ask me, she said, "Can you just give me a motivational like talk?" And I said, "Define motivation."

0:57And I was like, "You're asking me to answer a question you can't even define the word for." Right? And so, what activity do you feel like you should be doing but aren't? >> Facing my fears. >> No, but that But that facing your fears You you You can't face your fears. If I said, "Face your fears right now," it means nothing. >> Well, I am. Communication, I think, is >> Okay, so now we're getting closer to something you do. Right? So, what are you trying to do that you're incapable of doing?

1:23Is it sending an email? Is it making a phone call? Is it making a post on So, just making a post on social media. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Like communicating what I can do. >> Okay, so you're afraid of you making a post and people not liking it. >> Yeah, so >> Right? >> Sure, yeah. >> So, fundamentally, it's Do you care more about the people you help or the people who will judge you for making a post? >> That I help.

1:47>> Right. Then there's no fear. Just make the post. >> Just do. >> Just make the post. You're not Like, there's You're not facing fear. You're making a post. And I I say this because it's really important like Leila has this quote that went super viral, but like when fear looks like a mile wide when you step forward it's an inch deep, right? And so what we're trying to unpack is >> You have these big scary words like >> to face my fears. But what it really is is you're going to record a video on your phone and you're going to press post. That's what you're going to do.

2:17So just do that. Forget about the fear. Just do that. Makes sense? That's it. It's like I have to do outbound. Okay, just press send on the email. When someone replies call them. And if they say screw you, then you're like, oh, I'm still alive. You know what I mean? Like that's it. You just speed up that gap. Just think about what do I have to do. The fear is irrelevant. Just think about activities.

2:43It'll make life a lot easier. Same thing with teaching. Cuz again, if you were to teach somebody else, you'd probably be like, you need to face your fear. But that can't But no one can do that. No one can face their fears. Cuz there's no big ball of fear that you face. >> [laughter] >> There's things that you need to do that you're not doing. And you just have to break them into smaller chunks. So it's like, am I afraid of taking a video? No, you can do that. Okay. So are you afraid of writing a caption?

3:06No, you can probably write a caption. Are you afraid of pressing send? Are you afraid of refreshing it and seeing that it doesn't have as many likes as you want? Just figure out what part of that you're afraid of and then really look at it and be like, is this is me refreshing a post that doesn't have enough likes a big enough reason for me not to help all the people I want to help. And if it's not, then you don't have Just do it. Cool. >> Thank you.

3:31>> Yeah. If you're a business owner and you are not growing as fast as you'd like, I'd like to give you a free gift. So my team and I put together the $100 million scaling road map, which is basically 200 hours of us looking over all the portfolio companies we've had and what stages of growth they went through and more importantly where they got stuck and how they got past it. And so we broke it into these 10 stages and we made this little kind of quiz thing where if you put in your business information, it'll tell you where you're at, and the most important part for you, what to do for each of functions of the business across product, marketing, sales, customer success, recruiting, IT, human resources, and finance. And so, no matter what you're struggling with, someone else has already struggled with it and solved it. And so I'd like to give you this thing absolutely free. You can go to acquisition.com/roadmap, plug in your business information, and if you want us to actually help you deconstruct the business and you're trying to scale, we'd love to help you out. On the thank you page, you can just book a call with my team, and we will look at the business, see if we can help, and if we can, we'll invite you out to Vegas, and we'll do this in person live.
