0:00Am I doomed? I don't have skills, but can't get a job to learn because no companies are hiring fresh graduates right now. >> No companies? On Earth? Whoa, that's crazy. I guess the fresh graduates that we hired, I guess we don't exist. I guess we are not a company. Um I think that the statements that you're making are absolute because you have not uh succeeded as quickly as you wanted and then are extrapolating the fact that it is impossible. But here's the good news is that if it's hard for you, it's hard for other people. And if you have more or higher frustration tolerance, meaning that you can tolerate difficult longer, and you can get punched in the face more, then you the pool of people that you are competing against as time goes on narrows uh because other people have fallen out because they've given up hope. And so uh yes, I think that you can absolutely negate uh inferior odds with superior volume of work.
0:53And so if your acceptance rate, let's say, into a company is uh 1% likelihood, then you need to apply to 100 places. Now, to be clear, you just submitting a resume, not putting a cover letter, not taking any outreach, not trying to talk to somebody um at that place from a cold call, cold outreach, cold email to show that you're putting the extra work in, uh that will dramatically uh increase the odds of success. But if you're doing none of those things, if you're doing none of those things uh to to make it work, then you should expect that you're going to have inferior outcomes. And so the big the big highlight here though is stop saying that no companies are hiring freshmen.
1:31They're probably just not hiring people who are not putting all of the work in for enough time period to meet the needs of the business. And you need to go above and beyond to break out of the mold. So if everyone else is not putting a cover letter, you put a cover letter. If everyone else is not reaching out or trying to find somebody else who works at the company to just say like, "Hey, can you at least give me an interview?" Um then that's the extra work that you do to make it more likely that you're going to win. And by the way, that never stops.
1:56Like following the process is important and also doing above going above and beyond. And that's going to happen for customers, it's going to happen for business owners, like that never ends. If you like this video and you're business owner who wants to break through your current revenue ceiling, I distilled every lesson from scaling 10 businesses past 10 million and three businesses past 100 million into a completely free scaling roadmap that I've used to go from zero to one, zero to 10, and zero to 100 plus. And so you can click here and you can check it out.
2:22Again, absolutely free and since you're business owner, appreciate you and enjoy.
