0:00A lot of people don't know the difference between a criticism and an insult. >> That's true. >> And so, a criticism is communicating a discrepancy between actual and desired. >> Yeah. >> You said you were going to be here at 8:00. You're at 8:05. I'm communicating you were 5 minutes late. All this is factual. If I then say, "And you're a lazy piece of shit." >> [laughter] >> That is an insult. And so, when people are like, "Oh man, he's he's like he's always criticizing me." It's like, "Well, is he criticizing you or is he insulting you?" Now, it happens both ways where someone takes that where I say, "You said you were going to be here at 8:00. You're at 8:00 here at 8:05. You're 5 minutes late."
0:37And it's like, "This guy is always on my case." Was 8:00 our agreement? Is 8:05 untrue? No, I'm stating facts. And so, one of the things that we obviously teach internally is like we want like feedback is fuel. That's one of our things, right? So, like we want to give someone as much fuel as possible. We want as many feedback cycles as we possibly can and then um take away the emotional charge of feedback. It's like this is only because we want you to get better faster. >> If you like this video and you're a business owner who wants to break through your current revenue ceiling, I distilled every lesson from scaling 10 businesses past 10 million and three businesses past 100 million into a completely free scaling road map that I've used to go from zero to one, zero to 10, and zero to 100 plus. And so, you can click here and you can check it out.
1:17Again, absolutely free and since you're a business owner, I appreciate you and enjoy.
