Hiring 50 salespeople in 90 days: parallel recruiting tactics that added $5M/month

0:00I was just zooming out. Maybe this is a meta thing that like we talked about speed earlier as a big component of success. We don't try one solution when we solve things. We try all the solutions and we do them in parallel and that's how we solve [ __ ] And so when we had the company that told you that that that got to 137 million a year, we had to go from zero to a 50-person sales team in 90 days. And so we hired 10 different headhunting firms and gave them all a blank check and just said get as many sales people as you can. Then we also ran emails, we also ran ads and then we hired 80 sales people and fired 30 and kept 50 in 90 days and they were productive and they added 5 million a month to the business. And [clears throat] so it's like Right. And so the yeah, it's finance. And so I think that it's people have just like There was a there was a friend of Layla and I's when he wanted to start his fund, he needed to have like 200 people within like a month to start the managing this much money and doing the deals they were going to do. And so they rented out like a gymnasium and then they did 30 interviews a day with him and his like three partners or whatever times four. So it's like 120 interviews a day for seven straight days and then they found their team. And so when I heard that I was like, yeah, this is like it's it's just like some people would be like, oh man, to get to 200 that's going to take it's going to take a few years. It's like, nope. Elon made a [ __ ] super cluster in 19 days. So like and that was supposed to be a two-year project for most companies.
