0:00I think the biggest filter that I've used for friendships [music] and you know, significant other obviously is does having [music] this person in my life increase the likelihood that I hit my goals? And I've just used that as my 100% razor for all relationships, friends or otherwise. >> [music] >> And that also means that you can have somebody who you don't necessarily want to be friends with for a very long [music] time, but if they increase the likelihood that you hit your goals, then there are things that you can learn from them. And [music] I think that's been really valuable for me. I mean, we talk about seasons a lot. A spouse who's not in the know [music] or significant other who's not in the know extrapolates everything to forever.
0:33>> [music] >> Like whatever happens now is what it's going to be like forever and then therefore I can't deal with it. If you're starting a business then and you've been in a relationship with the person for [music] a year or two, then it's like they've only seen that one thing and they don't even know what a season looks like. And I think seasons do last longer. So as seasons are sometimes 3 years, 5 years. And [music] some people aren't willing to deal with that, which I think is fine. It's just that if you are being influenced by that person, then be [music] sure that that's the trade you want to make. Cuz some trains only take off once.
