0:00Do I have to be unethical to be successful in business? Well, the implicit question there, which is interesting because if you were to ask that question, if you deem me successful, then you deem me unethical. And why would you want an unethical person to answer your question? >> [clears throat] >> So, I would say that's a silly question, so I reject the premise. Um but why don't you tell me what is unethical about this? You have a problem.

0:25I know how to solve that problem. And in fact, the problem you have is a problem that many people have. And so, it's I'm unable to solve that problem for everyone. And so, for the people that care the most about solving that problem, some of them are willing to spend money to solve it. And for those people who are willing to spend money, I say, "I will solve that problem for you in exchange for your money." Where do you see an ethical dilemma? The issue that people who don't have money have with people who have money is that they believe that you need to deceive in order to earn.

0:55And I 100% agree that deception is a very poor practice in business, especially in the long term. And so, if you state the facts and tell the truth, which is the number one rule of marketing that I have that I I will restate until I die, if you state the facts and tell the truth, and then two people voluntary exchange of money for services, and both people say thank you, what is unethical about that? You need to get out of your head, dude. Like, you will never, and I will say this, if you believe that making money is wrong, you will never make it.

1:25If you're business owner and you're not growing as fast as you'd like, I'd like to give you a free gift. So, my team and I put together the $100 million scaling road map, which is basically 200 hours of us looking over all the portfolio companies we've had and what stages of growth they went through, and more importantly, where they got stuck and how they got past it. And so, we broke it into these 10 stages and we made this little kind of quiz thing where if you put in your business information, it'll tell you where you're at and the most important part for you, what to do for each of functions of the business across product, marketing, sales, customer success, recruiting, IT, human resources, and finance. And so, no matter what you're struggling with, someone else has already struggled with it and solved it. And so, I'd like to give you this thing absolutely free. You can go to acquisition.com/roadmap, plug in your business information, and if you want us to actually help you deconstruct the business and you're trying to scale, we'd love to help you out. On the thank you page, you can just book a call with my team and we will look at the business, see if we can help, and if we can, we'll invite you out to Vegas and we'll do this in person live.
