0:00Most of you guys, and this is a this is a this is a curse of entrepreneurship. It doesn't actually end. Most of you will focus on missed opportunities rather than solving problems. And what you fail to realize, myself included, is that the problems are the opportunities that are already in front of you. And so Henry Ford said this and I mean I like the quote a lot which is you know opportunity most people miss opportunity because it's dressed in overalls and looks like work, right? And so the idea here, of course my UK guy doesn't doesn't recognize that that one.

0:35It's that's a US a US uh quote. Um but the opportunity that you're looking for is in solving the problems that are right in front of you. And so a lot of times we think, oh, we need to create another product. Oh, we're leaving money on the table. The biggest money that you're leaving on the table is not selling them necessarily something else. It's making the thing that you already sell them that much better. Because if you can at the same price point double your LTV in terms of getting people cut turn in half, which almost everyone here absolutely can, all you really need to do is just make the one thing you have less painful because figuring out what's valuable to them, you already, believe it or not, if you have people who are responding to your stuff, you've already figured that out. It's actually fairly easy to figure out what people want.

1:21Where it's more difficult is figuring out all the things that pain them or get in the way of them achieving it. And so just focus on the pain. So in the book I talk about the the zillion dollar business is about making the bottom zero. It's about on the value equation. You've got time, delay, effort, and sacrifice. It's about getting the bottom to zero. That's what the advanced business owners do. The newbie business owners promise more. They make bigger promises. They show more proof. And to be to clear, I don't think there's anything wrong with showing proof, but that's showing top side. What we want to do is eliminate the downside. If you consistently eliminate the downside, by the way, this also makes a more defensible business. It makes a more valuable business. It makes it more recurring. And by the way, based on everything I started this call with about the algorithm, it also will help your group rank higher in the algorithm get even more ancillary traffic or secondary traffic from school itself.

2:12Yeah. And John, yes, if you have a number over zero, it becomes uh it becomes infinite or does not exist. It approaches infinite. Uh and so yeah, we have the hypothetical extreme of infinite value. And so that's the idea, right? Is that that is an ideal that all entrepreneurs will solve for. Uh and until we can literally think things and become God, which is like think things and then they immediately are. We don't even have to click a button because that would be friction. Like we just imagine things and they occur. Then then the followup problem is that we just be these hedonistic beasts that would just you know and then we have to solve that problem. But that's for another day. For now we can just solve people's problems.

2:49And so that is my that is my sermon of the uh sermon of this Monday which is the opportunities that you're looking for are the problems that are right in front of you that need solving. Not the not the money you're leaving on the table. There's always money on the table. Otherwise otherwise you want to be Amazon and you're not going to be Amazon. So there's always something else to sell, but the the real dollars are made in making the one thing you saw that much …
