0:00Proof is still, you know, if I had like over uh, you know, overrated, underrated. Proof, despite all of the all of the praise it gets, is still underrated. You need to show more. You need to document more and you need to show more than you currently are. And I'm going to give you a bunch of tactics on how to weave this into your business. But you want to say what only you can say and you want to show what only you can show, right? Like the reason that the marketing that I have I believe is so effective is because I you've probably noticed this like I want to demonstrate always. How can I show first? Because if I could just stand next to my 20,000 fivestar reviews, I don't need to say much. I can be like the book's good.
0:40Look, and if you have a history of seeing stuff that has 20,000 fivestar reviews being good, then you'll probably just believe me because fundamentally the biggest issue in marketing is that no one believes. And so everything we do is to accomplish that one objective. No one believes you. Like if you're like, I can help people, you know, like decrease their their their their page load times. It's like if you everybody would want faster page load times. So why so why why don't people buy from you? They don't believe you. That's it. They don't believe you.
1:14And so just putting that as the as the top of the pyramid before you get into everything else, before you get into all the fancy copy, before you get into all the selling, before all the tactics, before all the money models, everything. It's like if you don't have enough leads, it's because no one believes you. And they don't believe you because you haven't shown them or given them a reason to. And so the number one rule of marketing that we have at acquisition.com and every company I have is it's almost like this you know bold I would like it it would be above if we had just one office we have more than enough people for that but if we had just one door that marketing was under it would be state the facts and tell the truth kind of like Dante's inferno it says abandon all hope ye who enter here right so state the facts and tell the truth would be the thing over the door and and the the magic of that statement is that if if this if the facts and the truth are not compelling, you don't warp them.
2:10You warp reality. You change your environment. You change what you want to show. And basically, that means maybe you need to do more. Maybe you need to get those 20,000 fivestar reviews because that's going to be the thing that when you just say, "Hey, I have 20,000 fivestar reviews." You will get everything else you need. The reason I didn't make a ton of general business content until I had a, you know, $46 million exit was because I was like, who would listen to me?
2:34Even though I had [cough] gym lunch and I had Prestige Labs, I still didn't think that anyone would listen to me until I had some sort of tangible proof that I was legit, right? And so many of you are just missing that proof. And the thing is is that proof doesn't even take that long to get. You're just not getting it. So go get it.
