What Keeps You Going

0:00Hey Alex. >> Let's go. >> What I have right now, that's a one-man company for the I guess 3-4 years, I just kind of lost something. >> Yeah. >> So I just wanted to to know your why, why you're doing what you are doing. >> When I was 22 years old, I'd had a good weekend and I started work and a person in my past, she said, "You're in a good mood." And I was like, "Yeah, it's just you know, had a good weekend." She was like, "I'm pretty sure the secret happiness is living as many days in a row like that as you can." And that was like the closest to operationalizing kind of joy that I'd ever heard. And so I have just stuck with that. I like working. When I looked back on the days that I enjoyed most, they had three things in common. I worked out, I ate with people that I liked, and I worked hard and had something to show for it. Once I realized that those were the days that I enjoyed the most, then I made it my goal to live as many of those days in a row as I could.
