Was du mitnimmst

0:00Unternehmer/Gast Which is just an influencer relations a relations agency. Okay. Um we do about a million a year in revenue, but we'd like to get to a million a month 12 million a year. Um I think the biggest thing that stops us is that we're trying to we're trying to get our name out there a little bit more. So, a lot of what we've been doing has been kind of just behind the scenes. Um we do influencer relation services with marketing agencies, companies. Like we just provide them with the influencers that they need. And on the back end we manage influencers as well. And I feel like we're struggling to have more companies find out who we are and what we do and having we're struggling to get famous influencers. Well, yeah, yeah, right.
0:36>> [laughter] >> And we're also struggling to have influencers find out who we are and what we do. And I think a part of it is just because if you're a company and you get a lot of success from us, you're not going to want to tell other companies obviously. And if you're an influencer and you're getting a lot of deals from us, you don't really want to go tell a bunch of other influencers as well. And so, I think we're struggling a bit to just get our name out there a little bit more. And um I think that's our biggest constraint honestly. So, your domain constraint? Yeah. Cool. So, we've just got to like run ads?
1:02Why aren't you doing that? I don't know. Just haven't thought about it. >> [laughter] >> Yeah. Um I think that would work pretty good. And all you have to do is get one of your influencers to be the influencer in the ad, tell their story, run it to everybody else. Got it. And I'll bet you with targeting you can get, you know, people over X followers, things like that. Um I feel like this is actually pretty cuz the nice The thing is is like in a lot of ways you have like the easiest offer in the world.
1:27Uh you have following. You now have money. I give you money. And then marketers it's like, "Hey, you have no brand. We have people with brand and audience. Let's have fun." Sure. Like I feel like the offer's like really straightforward. >> Sure. It's very easy to understand. You can say it quickly. It's something for almost nothing. Yeah. Like this is a really easy business to advertise. >> Sure. And so I Run ads. Right. And I guess one question so I we considered it, but obviously we were kind of thinking of the more better new sort of thing. And so, the previous year we did about 250,000 in revenue and then we
1:59>> So, you still run ads? So, what was Okay, so how did you get customers last year? Just organically really just word of mouth type of thing. So, >> Okay. there were some influencers telling each other about us. Four times? >> Yeah. But it was more that the influencers we worked with, we just figured out ways to make them more money. Um okay. And so, we were trying to like I guess I'm just trying to figure out is if it do we keep doing that? Do we go into ads? I guess it's just a weird
2:24Alex >> Yeah, so with the business that you're in like more word of mouth is tougher. Like if you were a software and we could just like know that what's our viral coefficient and be like, "All right, this is what we need to optimize towards." And then we you know, we're blowing zillions of users through there and then like yeah, I'd be like, "We can just compound off of word of mouth." Especially if it's like a consumer product, right? Yours is B2B on both sides kind of. Uh which does make kind of word of mouth a little bit more difficult. Um and so, I would I would lean towards like my initial gut is just immediately doing the ads thing. If there was a strategy that you were using to to get the referrals, then obviously we would juice the hell out of that first. But I'm going to guess this is just me guessing just having seen a lot of companies similar.
3:04Um there's going to be a limited runway for that. It's just more likely you're going to have to develop a sales motion that's that's that's the cold traffic. Okay. And I think we can I think we can make it happen because like on the million we made last year, we profited like 900,000 or so. So, we can make it happen. Okay. All right. Thank you then. Yeah, you bet. If you are a business owner and you are not growing as fast as you'd like, I'd like to give you a free gift. So, my team and I put together the $100 scaling road map, which is basically 200 hours of us looking over all the portfolio companies we've had and what stages of growth they went through and more importantly where they got stuck and how they got past it. And so, we broke it into these 10 stages and we made this little kind of quiz thing where if you put in your business information, it'll tell you where you're at and the most important part for you, what to do for each of functions of the business across product, marketing, sales, customer success, recruiting, IT, human resources, and finance. And so, no matter what you're struggling with, someone else has already struggled with it and solved it. And so, I'd like to give you this thing absolutely free. You can go to acquisition.com/roadmap, plug in your business information, and if you want us to actually help you deconstruct the business and you're trying to scale, we'd love to help you out. On the thank you page you can book a call with my team and we will look at the business, see if we can help, and if we can, we'll invite you out to Vegas and we'll do this in person live.
