Success and failure are on the same road.

And what would you tell your 23-year-old self before taking the leap? >> You're not going to die. If you play out your worst-case scenario, it's unlikely that you're going to starve to death and be homeless. And so, the true worst-case scenario is that you sacrifice status, which is really just a made-up perception of yourself in other people's mind, and you judging what they think about you when they're not thinking about you to begin with. If you're 23, you have the highest risk-adjusted return period of your life to make these types of moves because if not now, then when? Like when you have more responsibility, when you have less time, when you have a family, when you have people who depend on you. You have none of these obligations right now. And so, if there's ever a time where you can kind of take endless scratch-off tickets from life, where even if it doesn't win, the only thing you spent was time, and you didn't lose, you learned, and you just got better. And so, as long as you know that your plan B is that you just are going to keep trying, then plan A and plan B merge and become the same thing. Because at the end of the day, failure and success are on the same road. It's just that failure is an earlier exit.
