0:00If you had to build a business while having massive bills to pay, dude, this is a 5:00 to 9:00 special, baby. This is a 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sorry, 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. So, those are your two bookends of the day. You got 8 hours a day on the opposite ends of work schedule, and you got Saturday, Sunday. Now, if you're like, "I'm still working all of those hours, and I can barely make bills," then you got to look at your expenses, man. You got to look at your lifestyle, and you got to say like, "I Where am I willing to give up on my ego so that I can achieve my dreams?" And so, sometimes you got to take a step back.
0:32But I mean like I say this, but I'm also somebody who like took a step back. Like, I had a really nice condo, uh I mean, really nice. You know, it was relative, but it was it's a $180,000 uh condo when I was 20 three, I think. 22. And it overlooked the city. And when I was there, and I decided I was going to get into fitness, I sold everything I had, and I got in my car, and I drove across the country, and I started working minimum wage at a gym, and I lived in somebody's spare bedroom.
1:03And so, all the people that I knew saw me in my swanky consulting job in my nice place. You can imagine the kind of step back that would be. And so, if you're not willing to do that, you just don't want what you want enough. And that's fine. Just accept that like you just don't want. That's like you kind of want it. It's like you kind of want to like you want a six-pack. It'd be nice. Right? But it's very different than saying you're just not going to eat cookies for a month. Right? If you're a business owner, and you're not growing as fast as you'd like, I'd like to give you a free gift.
1:32So, my team and I put together the $100 million scaling road map, which is basically 200 hours of us looking over all the portfolio companies we've had, and what stages of growth they went through, and more importantly, where they got stuck, and how they got past it. And so, we broke it into these 10 stages, and we made this little kind of quiz thing where if you put in your business information, it'll tell you where you're at, and the most important part for you, what to do for each of functions of the business across product, marketing, sales, customer success, recruiting, IT, human resources, and finance. And so, no matter what you're struggling with, someone else has already struggled with it and solved it. And so, I'd like to give you this thing absolutely free. You can go to acquisition.com/roadmap, plug in your business information, and if you want us to actually help you de-constrain the business and you're trying to scale, we'd love to help you out. On the thank you page, you can just book a call with my team and we will look at the business, see if we can help, and if we can, we'll invite you out to Vegas and we'll do this in person live.
