0:00I work all the time. These are my weekly work schedules in different seasons of business. Number one, management consulting job after college. I worked 9:00 to 5:00 5 days a week and then maybe made 50 grand a year during that period. Number two was United Fitness building my first gym. I worked 14 to 16-hour days. My first session was at 4:30 in the morning. So I had to wake up before that to prepare the gym. Then from 5:00 to 9:00 I did all the rest of my classes. Then 9:00 to 11:00 I would focus on marketing. 11:00 to 4:00 I would take sales appointments and do the rest of the stuff and set up for the afternoon. 4:00 to 8:30 I would do my evening classes. Then I did all my admin work and did afternoon sales or evening sales. I was making maybe $20,000 a month. Third was Gym Launch. So the first phase of Gym Launch I was on site launching gyms and again I was working 12 to 16 hours a day. I'd wake up and immediately send my text reminders for the morning and then I would go straight to the gym and set up for my first sales of the day. All morning I would basically just set sales appointments from the beginning of the day to the end of the day and any times where sales appointments didn't show up I would check the ad performance, I would make more ads and I would continue to work leads and remind people as they continue to come in. With schedule when it was just me I was making $100,000 a month.
1:02Over time I got to two or $300,000 a month with a team. But then I transitioned to licensing which was yet again 12 to 14-hour days. In the morning though I would do deep work with whatever would grow the business the most. In the middle of the day I still had sales calls. In the afternoon I ended all the fulfillment and support and kind of the building part of the business. With this schedule our first full 12 calendar months made $16 million in profit. The fourth season was at acquisition.com managing our portfolio. Again 12 to 14-hour days and it has switched between maker and manager and just maker. I either have two deep work blocks a day, one in the morning one in the evening or I have a deep work block in the morning and then back-to-back meetings in the evening which I usually just do on Mondays.
