0:00Another. >> I know you say don't switch businesses every time it gets hard, but how do you know if you're just hitting a wall you need to push through or if the business itself is just not going to work out? >> All right. If another business of the same kind exists and is much bigger and more successful than yours, then you simply do not have the skills yet yet to make it work. It does not mean that this business is impossible or can't be done.

0:29The only time, and this is a small minority of circumstances, where something where it makes sense to push, sorry, pivot, like change the nature of the business, is where something has never been done before and you're trying to be the first one to do it and you don't know if people actually want the thing. But if you're like, "Hey, I have a dry cleaning store and should I push or should I pivot?" Well, dude, if you want to do dry cleaning, there's plenty of successful dry cleaners. You want to do laundry, there's plenty of successful laundry. You want to do HVAC, there's tons tons of successful HVAC. You want to do you know, garage doors, there's tons of successful garage door people. And so, like I will almost always first look around and say, "Is there anybody who's doing a version of this business that's doing well?" If the answer is yes, then what are they doing that I'm not doing and then I just try and uh reconcile the differences between their actions and mine. And so, my first step is always to replicate before I iterate. Now, to be clear, if you want to create a one of zero company that's never been done before, then you also incur the risk of you might not have product market fit, which is that we don't know if people actually want this thing. But if you're going into a market that already exists and saying like, "Hey, I want to help people lose weight." If that market exists, but then you're like, "I want to do it in a different way. I want to do it online with coaching." Okay, well, yeah, that exists. I want to do it with supplements, that exists. I want to do it with peptides, that exists. I want to do it with, you know, men's spot or cool sculpting. Like there's a hundred different I want to do it with Ashwagandha root. I don't really care.

1:41There's a zillion ways that you can do it and are already proven. And so, I would say for 99% of you guys, it is just you do need to push more and the pushing part is the is is is is doing the repetitions with a feedback loop so that you iterate your way to success. And so, the key is not to do a thousand of the same thing, is to do a thousand iterations.

2:05So that by the time you do your thousandth iteration, it is now good. You suck in the beginning and you want to suck less over time, not do a shitty thing a hundred times in a row and say why didn't it work. If you like this video and you're business owner who wants to break through your current revenue ceiling, I just distilled every lesson from scaling 10 businesses past 10 million and three businesses past 100 million into a completely free scaling roadmap that I've used to go from zero to one, zero to 10, and zero to 100 plus. And so, you can click here and you can check it out. Again, absolutely free. And since you're business owner, I appreciate you and enjoy.
