Was du mitnimmst

0:00Unternehmer/Gast I sell SEO and AEO services to >> Pause two seconds. The last time I did this, I smoked this girl's partner and her dad was her partner. Didn't know that, was in the front seat. Anyways, keep going. >> Two two partners, we're all good. Um so we sell that to mid-market enterprise, QuickBooks, Nike. Uh we do about 20 million in revenue. >> Amazing. >> Um >> What did you say this was the very first thing you said before I interrupted you? >> SEO and AEO so ad optimization stuff. >> Okay.
0:24>> Um my question, Alex, is uh building a brand in the a personal [clears throat] brand in the SEO and the AEO space. >> Yeah. >> But it's a very crowded it's very saturated with education. >> Yeah. >> If you're in my shoes, would you focus entirely on educational content? Would you mix in edutainment? Or how would you stand out in a crowded market when building a personal brand?
0:49Alex >> What is the objective of the brand? >> The objective of the brand is we're doing about 20 million to >> No, what is the objective of your personal brand? >> The personal brand the objective will be to get on more stages and to be able to speak more and to therefore get more clients. >> So to make more money. >> Yeah, to make more money. >> Um so just make content about the stuff that the type of people that you want to attract make. Disregard views, likes, whatever. If you just double down on what is the absolute highest value per second that you can make for that audience, you will do great.
1:21You have to worry about the packaging by format, that kind of stuff. That's like the obvious like, you know, ticket of entry. So hooks, that you know, visual hooks, pacing the videos, all that kind of jazz. Uh but the core meat of what you make should be as focused as possible on the thing that the people who are buying your stuff want. Like I don't want to see like if you're like, I want this personal brand to be my personal brand forever for a long period of time, and then yeah, you can sprinkle in some some of your special pixie dust. That's a little aggressive.
1:53Alex But you know what I'm saying? You're the the things that make you you, by all means you can put more of those elements in. >> Mhm. >> But in terms of I would probably go 80/20 on that. Like 80% keep it um straight down the down the barrel. Like there's almost I can't help but make the occasional full of philosophical content because it's just me. Um but I still try to anchor just about everything to business. So everything's still business oriented. And so even though I talk about philosophy, it's like, well, I had to understand how to get through hard times so they can continue to do business. I had to understand how to work with my partner, who's my wife, as it relates to business. And so most of everything is still through that lens. Like how do I think about fitness as somebody who works all the time? It's still not going to be necessarily fitness first. I've made some, you know, pieces of content, but they're very few and far between.
2:37Alex But they almost always are business centric. >> And would you do that again starting from scratch? >> Yeah, I would do exactly that. >> Exactly the same thing. That's awesome. >> Yeah, it wasn't easy. >> If you are a business owner and you are not growing as fast as you'd like, I'd like to give you a free gift. So my team and I put together the $100 million scaling road map, which is basically 200 hours of us looking over all the portfolio companies we've had and what stages of growth they went through and more importantly where they got stuck and how they got past it. And so we broke it in these 10 stages and we made this little kind of quiz thing where if you put in your business information, it'll tell you where you're at and the most important part for you, what to do for each of functions of the business across product, marketing, sales, customer success, recruiting, IT, human resources, and finance. And so no matter what you're struggling with, someone else has already struggled with it and solved it. And so I'd like to give you this thing absolutely free. You can go acquisition.com/roadmap, plug in your business information, and if you want us to actually help you de-constrain the business and you're trying to scale, we'd love to help you out. On the thank you page you can just book a call with my team and we will look at the business, see if we can help, and if we can, we'll invite you out to Vegas and we'll do this in person live.
