Everyone believes in the American dream, until it comes true.

0:00I saw a video, kind of like business [music] guru guy, and he's saying some stuff like, you know, he had a little bed in the gym where he was personal training and he'd sleep there. [music] And all of his trainees were like, "You we love what you're doing, you know, I hope you get I hope you really take off." >> [music] >> And then as soon as he actually started making money and he's owned the gym and he's like coming in as the manager, he's like really [music] making moves, everybody's like, "Oh, so you're the boss now, huh? Well, well, am I working hard now?" >> They hate that and once he's up

0:25>> Someone sent me this clip. I first off, I was like, "Oh, this is so cool. Sam's actually seen like my story." Um and I'm sure it's probably relevant [music] to him because he kind of exploded almost overnight and probably some of the people that were in his world were like, "Yeah, man, I hope you you hope you make it on YouTube someday. I hope you hope you can become a, you know, a pro bodybuilder." Then all of a sudden he probably is hitting all [music] of those goals and even more. I remember living through that moment and it was so difficult that I actually wrote this essay to myself [music] to try and like make sense of it and I called it, "Everyone believes in the American dream until it comes true." And [music] it was at what point do you go from being the underdog to the man? And the line that I identified was that everyone who wants you to do well as long as it's not them.
