0:00I found out my broke client is actually loaded and now I feel like an idiot. I gave this client 30% off my rate because she told me she was a struggling solo entrepreneur. Turns out she sold a company 2 years ago and is sitting on serious money. Do I confront her or is there a better way to handle clients who play you like this? >> I mean, you said you were willing to do it for 30% less, so why does her story even matter? If that business decision made sense for you at 30% off, then it made sense for you at 30% off. Like the end result is the same.

0:29>> The real thing here is that I think you are ashamed of the fact that you didn't have integrity with yourself about your own pricing. The idea of broke clients, rich clients, I'm believer in being an equal opportunity salesman because everyone's money is green. And so whether someone tells a sob story or they're rich as hell, I have a price that I'm willing to do something for and their their money spends the same. At the end of the day, like it's a business, you have a price, you have a value, you made an exchange. None of that changed and so I think if you're unhappy with the price, raise your prices or stick to the price you agreed on.
