0:00Well, one thing you could do is just create better YouTube content. Does that just mean >> Yeah, that's this. >> Right. Right. So, so does that just mean, what does that mean by better? Like, because I I've been creating videos for five years, and >> Yeah. >> What's the average view per video? >> H two to 3,000. Obviously, we have the outliers, but 2 to 3,000. >> It's being able to more consistently create outliers. And so, that's going to be just studying the game of YouTube more. So, it's like what are the hooks?
0:24What are the pre like what do you do for pre pre like research for videos? Uh well now I use Manis and I do deep research. So that's something new I've been doing. Before I would just look at the outliers using Vid IQ um looking at like top videos to kind of model at least the hooks. >> Um which I have been doing. Just still haven't I haven't really had too many videos like pop off. >> Yeah. >> They're always very like one, two, 3,000 views. So
0:50>> I'm doing those things but not seeing the >> It's going to be I mean it's still it's still true. It's just that it like the content still isn't good enough for people to want to share. So, I don't >> I can't consume all the YouTube right now, but it's going to be quality of the creative that you're putting out um and how widely accessible it is. Now, I do think that given the market that you're going after, it is a pretty big market of people who are interested in quitting their 9 to5s. That's a pretty large, you know, TAM. And so,
1:16>> my guess is that >> the the stuff's just not good enough from a YouTube perspective in terms of like is it has it been really edited for retention? Do we have open loops? to have a clear road map. Um my kind of rule of thumb on these is the five Ps for everyone which is um promise, pain, proof, picture, plan. So we start the video with like what's the big promise that you're going to get from this video? What pain are you going to avoid as a result of this video? So more good stuff, less bad stuff.
1:44>> Um what is the proof that you know that you can believe me that I can actually help you fulfill on the promise that I just made to you? give me a visual road map, a picture of what the rest of this video is going to look like and then that's going to translate to the plan. So plan and picture are more or less the same thing, just one's visual. You could have a plan without a picture. So those tend to be one and the same. And so then the question after that is okay, the proof is going to be a big deal, especially in B2B.
2:10Like how credible are you is going to be a huge a huge component of that. And then how how much does that credibility relate to the topic of the video? Right? All right. So, if I'm going to make a sales video, um, I could say, "Hey, our portfolio companies make a lot of money." It'll be more relevant for me to say, "I have over 200 sales people who work for me and I've, you know, I've scaled, I've sold stuff in this business, this business, this business, this business, SAS, e-commerce, blah, blah, blah." And people like, okay, he has credibility and it applies to me. And so, in the proof section, that's what we're trying to do is we're trying to establish credibility, especially in education. Like, almost everything comes down to the messenger. And so, think about like this. Elon Musk can make a tweet and just say is like, "I'm on the porcelain throne.
2:48and it'll get, you know, 10 million views. And like, why is it because this content is just so rich, you know what I mean? It's so good. >> Because of him. >> Yeah. It's because he happens to have built the number one, number two, number five, [snorts] and 10th most valuable companies in the world and he's the richest man. And so, everyone is interested in his stuff. And so, I think one of the one of the big misconceptions especially around education is that is the message exists separate from the messenger whereas the messenger and message are consumed within the same context. And so, that's why proof is so important. Why I put like why did I have the Guinness judges at the event?
3:22Because I needed to have a third party to be like these sales are legit based on a company whose entirety is based on the credibility of their claims.
