Is a Hard Relationship Worth Staying In?

0:31If those things are true, then you have to realize that everybody everyone's got And I think marriage is a lot more about learning the lesson of commitment than anything else, and I think that's why it's so hard. Um Marriage is tough, you know, like there's it's it's funny cuz like getting married is easy, staying married is hard, right? It's like getting in shape is easy, staying in shape is hard. Um even even you know, building a business isn't that difficult, but staying in business is the hard part. That's the part you get clapped for. Like no one claps I mean some clap a little bit when someone gets married, but what we what we strive to have is a 50-year marriage, 60-year marriage, right? Uh you strive to be in shape your entire life. Like no one cares if you're in shape for 6 weeks or 6 months of your 80-year life.

1:18Right? Um And so I think that there's a great there's a great uh like sociologist or whatever who I saw this clip of him that I really liked. Um You have to love the soul of the person that you want to be with because when they're you know, fat and they're ugly and maybe they're in pain, so they're not as upbeat as they used to be. Um because that will happen to all of us eventually. It's like if you still love their essence um I think that's what you ultimately want.

1:49It's like if you can almost see past the veneer then if you feel good at that level, then I I it's a good idea.
