0:01Who's it? >> Alexis. Hey, how's it going, man? So, I work for Reliant Energy. We're just in the area checking the programs that are set up on the electricity bill. All I need is a current capital electric bill. >> I'm good. >> Hey, that's completely fine. I'm not here to sell you anything. We're just in the area checking the rates to show current capital the bill, mark it down, and right out of your way, 2 seconds. >> I don't have Reliant, though. I'm happy with the company I have. >> When she said other people in the area are having higher rates, that's why I'm here. For me, I would have wanted to hear that up front, personally. It's like, give me the reason why. Someone knocking on my door and then saying, "Do something for me." I, personally, very averse to tip. What's the reason why?

0:35Like, why am I doing this? The big thing that was done well is that the sales people who ask for the sale the most times get the most sales. The problem is most sales people ask in such a way that it repels people, and they don't get the opportunity to ask again because they turn the prospect off. And so, the key is being able to vary the questions and qualify your questions prior to asking them so that the person will basically let you stay in the pocket and you stay in the sale.
