0:00I'm not sure what path to take advice on how to decide. I got nothing to lose and I need to make money for my sister's surgery. I don't care about money and myself. I don't want money. I just need it. I mean, that is wide as [ __ ] in terms of a question. Um there's a lot of stuff you need. It kind of depends on how much money you need. I so surgery, let's just assume, I mean, I don't know what the surgery is. Is there a thousand bucks? Is it a hundred thousand dollars? I don't know.
0:25Cuz that depends. Cuz like if it's like, let's say if you're if you need to make like, call it zero to two thousand dollars, you could probably just drive Uber like as many hours as humanly possible and just get that done with basically no risk and just you just literally straight trade time for money. Number one. Number two, you can ask at work if you have a job, is there a side project that I could take on in exchange for this thing? And I would tell them, I'm trying to pay for my my my sister's surgery. I'm not asking for a handout. I would like to know what I can do to go above and beyond that would actually make the business assistance money. That would be worth it.
0:55Number three, you can ask for advance. That's a little bit iffy. Depends on your tenure at the business. If someone's been with me for four or five years and they had a thing that was happening, I'd be probably happy to do it. If someone's been with me for four or five months, probably not, right? Um The next thing is if you are a business owner, there are three sources of fast cash. Number one is getting prepayments from existing customers. So getting people to prepay for future services. So you say, "Hey, I've been working with you every month. Can you pay for the next two or three months at a time? I'll give you a small discount." That's way one. Way two is you reach out to past customers and say, "Hey, um you used to work with me. You spent five hundred dollars with me. I'll give you all of that five hundred dollars as credit towards my other thing. You can use the email subject headline, I owe you money." And it's basically that I owe you money towards the amount that you spent towards the new thing. Let's say it's a three thousand dollar thing. So it's a way to upsell and get the conversation going to a much bigger package. That's number two. Number three is you can hit up your entire list of all prospects, you know, current and old, with a giveaway offer or a buy x get y free offer meaning Hey, buy 6 months get 6 months or something that I like to do which is like ultra high end very limited which is one-on-one work with me if you have any kind of service that you can do or the most skilled person at your service for a year and the deal is I can only take on five customers and you have to pre-pay. Right? And so those are the ones that like if you have to make money it's the best way that I've seen work in a short period of time.
2:29Useful? Okay. Venkatraman Padmanabhan. That is that was a word for word. That was exactly what the name was. I'm not I I could not make that up. I wouldn't even know how to make that up. What is cash flow in simple terms? It's the amount of money from month to month. So let's say you start your bank account starts at a hundred bucks and it ends at three hundred bucks then your cash flow is two hundred dollars which is the amount of So a normal business So if you've ever heard of cash based accounting in a cash based accounting system which is you just when money comes in you count it as as revenue period. You don't think about like when you deliver stuff.
3:09Like if I sell someone a six months of service and they pre-pay ten thousand dollars today for the whole six months I count all ten thousand dollars today as revenue. That's in a cash based accounting. And so your cash flow is basically difference between your the cash that comes in and your expenses that go out. The difference there the amount of net free cash that comes out of the business that's your cash flow. How to have cash flow from Hank here? I think the definition actually explains how to do it. Have more money that comes in than money goes out. If you like this video and you're a business owner who wants to break through your current revenue ceiling I just spilled every lesson from scaling ten businesses past ten million and three businesses past a hundred million into a completely free scaling road map that I've used to go from zero to one, zero to ten and zero to a hundred plus.
