0:00I was talking to a world champion, and I've texted him out of the blue cuz I woke up thinking about him. And I was like, "Hey man, I just want you to know I think you should just win this next championship and cut it. Leave on top. Leave with people being like, 'Man, he could take it again the next year if he wanted to, but he chose not to cuz he's above the game.'" And he responded by saying, "Well, what about the lessons you learn from losing?" And [music] that answer pissed me off so much because losing only teaches one lesson, which is to avoid it. He became a champion by losing first and learning to avoid it, which made him champion. And so, trying to relearn the lessons of loss is like saying I want to go down two levels to learn to beat the same boss again. But you already beat that boss, and you already moved on from it.
