If you start a new thing, they're okay with you doing that because you now took a risk, but it hasn't paid off yet. So, they're happy for you when you take that risk because you objectively are losing more than them. But then, as you match and then surpass them, that risk paid off. When I started my gym, everybody was rooting for me. When things started to work, fewer people rooting for me. And when things worked really, really well, even fewer of them. And it didn't make sense to me until I started to think from their perspective of like, "Well, why would they want me to win?"
