Key takeaways

  • I have an abundance of time, let me just keep working, or I don't have time, so I must complete this.
  • I actually don't I don't really think it using either of those.
  • And anything that gets in the way of that is probably not as important, so I don't do it.
  • If you like this video and you're business owner who wants to break through your current revenue ceiling, I distilled every lesson from scaling 10 businesses past 10 million and three businesses past 100 million into a completely free scaling road map that I've used to go from zero to one, zero to 10, and zero to 100 plus.

0:00Clemens, congratulations getting married tomorrow. Good luck. Uh Trent, which perspective do you think supported you as you do work in relation to time? I have an abundance of time, let me just keep working, or I don't have time, so I must complete this.

0:26I actually don't I don't really think it using either of those. Um I actually think more on return. So, it's more like what thing is going to move me the furthest forward of all the things in front of me? I'll do that. And that's basically it. And anything that gets in the way of that is probably not as important, so I don't do it.

0:50And it takes what it takes. And what really smart people can't handle is that getting rich has less to do with intellect and creativity, and more to do with courage and perseverance. You have to take risk that other people won't, work while other people wait, and keep going when other people quit. It's a lot more about your character traits than it is your intellect.

1:16It's more about staying focused and being patient and continuing despite difficulty and having a high frustration tolerance, being able to get kicked in the nuts, than it ever has been about who can add up math the fastest. Like there are so many incredibly intelligent and lazy people because they had school come easy to them, and by the time they were adults, the behaviors of work ethic never formed. And so, they were always and quickly surpassed by people who were willing to endure difficulty for extended periods, because just because you can learn quickly doesn't mean you will learn the most if you spend so little time working. And I think you'd be amazed at the amount of time that most people waste doing nothing.

1:57And so like I by no means consider myself to be you know, a supercomputer brain. Um but I've been able to stick with things for really long periods of time. And I think that if you can just keep showing up every day and just try to move the ball forward. And this is why I'm such an advocate of like take the first 4 hours or first 6 hours of your day and just always move the ball forward. And then just know that the rest of your day is going to be shot. But if every day you can get to the end of the day saying like this is what I did that moved the ball just a little bit forward. When you look up at 6 months or sometimes 6 years uh you'll have moved across the world. If you like this video and you're business owner who wants to break through your current revenue ceiling, I distilled every lesson from scaling 10 businesses past 10 million and three businesses past 100 million into a completely free scaling road map that I've used to go from zero to one, zero to 10, and zero to 100 plus. And so you can click here and you can check it out. Again, absolutely free. And since you're business owner, I appreciate you and enjoy.
