0:00Matty boy, is there a specific time / accomplishment when joy comes into the equation for an entrepreneur? Um I quit my 14 years job last week and lost my biggest client on day one. Okay. Um is there a specific time or accomplishment when joy comes into the equation for an entrepreneur? I think you're asking is there ever a time when entrepreneurship is fun? And the answer is yeah. I actually think I think the beginning of stuff is actually the most fun. I tend This is going to sound crazy. I tend to lose interest when things start making a lot of money.
0:33Um because it's like all the hard problems have been solved and now it's just doing like just more more more, um which is the correct business decision, but like not like the most fun. And so this is why I tend to be more on the marketing front for businesses because I like the novelty. I like the stimulus. I like the change. I like how media is constantly evolving. And uh like so I I put all of my call it creative energy into the things that are con- that are changing rather than things that should be constants, which is like the model, the pricing, the product. Now, are they constant forever?
1:02No, of course not, but they need significantly less change than media and advertising do. Um and so the the the answer to the question is um yes, I think you can absolutely enjoy the process. I think right now you're just feeling stressed because you're starting out and you don't have any money coming in. But as soon as you do have money coming in, I think that you also can get accustomed to stress. Like think about it like this. Do you remember when you were younger and like the things you were stressed about when you were five?
1:30Remember the things you were stressed about when you were 10 or 15 or 20? Think about like what the different things were at each of the stages of what you were stressed about. And if you were to go back in time and deal with that stress right now, it would be nothing, right? It's like not even an issue. And so there's a five year from now version of you that will look at your current moment and think this is just not a big deal. And if five years from now you can think that way, then there's no reason that present you can't think that way. If you like this video and you're business owner who wants to break through your current revenue ceiling, I just sold every lesson from scaling 10 businesses past 10 million and three businesses past 100 million into a completely free scaling roadmap that I've used to go from zero to one, zero to 10, and zero to 100 plus.
