How to Actually Sell a Commodity

0:00want to farm. Cool. Just pasture-raised eggs. What do you think the best way to go about selling them is? Um I think you're going to sell a lot of eggs to I mean it depends on what your lifestyle is, but if you already own the farm, then you just need to make enough I guess it really depends again it depends on how much money you need to live. If you have like, you know, chickens that lay eggs and you've got cows that you can milk.

0:27And so you've got, you know, two or three good calorie sources and you know if you have some wheat that you can make bread out of or something you probably can live for pretty cheap. Um but eggs are probably going to get sold obviously you can go to a farmers market where people buy eggs. People don't really ship eggs online. People almost exclusively buy them in person. So you're going to have to ship them to grocery stores that sell them as distributors for you or you're going to have to sell them at kind of farmers markets. I have yet to see anyone else who sells eggs in a different way unless you want to go totally, you know, new school and say like I'm going to process them and add flavors and make egg whites and then try to penetrate the market with a product that's slightly unique in a more manufactured version of eggs, but if you're just selling like eggs in shells, eggs are quite literally a commodity.
