Was du mitnimmst

0:00the the reason that I think authenticity like the true truth not just like what feel like surface level truth but the like two layers below that is so important which is what everyone's like afraid to do um because everyone's had a unique life but what ends up happening is we end up gravitating towards these off-the-box personalities right like oh I'm 30 so I should pick either barbecue or an IPA and that's going to be my hobby and I'm going to you know watch one of these six shows that everyone already talks about and so they just kind take their personality off the shelf out of the box without doing any kind of aftermarket modifications. And so, but I think I think like re like the authenticity is the aftermarket modification is like saying like sure I have a body and I have a brain but like what did I choose to do with it and then being really real about that. And I think that where people become interesting is when you have um apparent contradictions or where there are pairings that are not common. And so if you have a jack dude who likes to talk about philosophy, it's not common, right? If you guy who looks like uh who's who's broke with a wife beater on and then he's makes a lot of money and can talk about business at a high level, that's not a pairing that typically happens. And so those things when someone doesn't match the pattern that you expect, all of a sudden you're like, "Huh, my pattern does not match reality.

1:17I need to learn something here." And all of a sudden, the person becomes interesting. And so to some degree hopefully the people that you're with that you married or that you're dating on some level there was something interesting about them that was not what you expected and the more you find out about them the more you are surprised and I think that I mean fundamentally there's elements of attraction I know that the dating guys are nodding their heads here but like um they're like exactly [laughter] and then you get their number. Mercedes. So, but same same idea though, but the only way to really do that is to actually show the apparent contradictions that exist within you rather than just take your personality off the shelf. And so, I'll I'll separate two things that I think are helpful. So, I define personality as what you do. That's all it is. Like if we're like this guy when we when we describe someone's personalities, we will say in these conditions they act this way. They do this stuff. And then it's like, okay, well, how does that ladder to identity? And the reason I think that's important is because we we relate a lot of our lives to identity.

2:11It's just the label you put on top of the things you do. And that then coordinates your behavior. You're like, well, I'm a runner and therefore I run. And so even if I don't want to run because I identify as a runner, I'm still going to get up and do it. I'm an entrepreneur and even and maybe entrepreneurship to me means I'm willing to suffer and work hard for an extended period of time. And so I'll behave in that way. And so the labels that we ascribe to the behaviors we do matter a ton. But the thing is is only bringing this up is that some of you guys have these labels that are offtheshelf and you only do things in accordance to the offtheshelf and wonder why your content looks the same as everyone else's. And in a world of AI, AI is very good at pattern recogn uh recognition. And so the content that it makes is always going to be typically going to be a regression of the mean. It's just to say like this is what content looks like.

2:54And if you make content that looks like content, it doesn't work. It's just like ads that look like ads, sales that look like sales, marketing looks like marketing, it's actually not good marketing. It's not good sales. It's not good content. >> Real quick, I'm going to show you the exact 10stage road map from zero to 100 million plus that less than 1% of companies finish. I've now done multiple times. And so I can say with a lot of confidence that these are the stages as headcount increases that you need to get through. And I broke each of these down by eight different functions of the business. What the constraint feels like like what are the symptoms of it when you're going through it and then what steps we actually took to graduate. And we've done this across software, physical products, uh, service businesses, brick and mortar, all of this, and it works. And it's my gift to you. It's absolutely free. And so the link's in the description, but you just go acquisition.comroadmap.
