Was du mitnimmst

0:00Unternehmer/Gast I sell electricity plans and backup power. We do 300k in revenue a month. We want to get to a million in revenue. What's stopping me is fulfillment. >> Okay. All right. >> Yeah. >> So, what do you need to do more of that? >> Yeah. >> No, I'm asking. >> More more more hiring, but we are sales agency, so we don't do the fulfillment. Like they can't handle enough, and so it's gotten to like a 120-day wait period. And then by that time, people cancel on us.
0:32>> So, you're a sales agency, >> Mhm. >> and you're selling electricity. >> Yeah. >> Um do you have a like a central provider and you're canvassing new neighborhoods to like get new generators online and then they subscribe to it? Okay, got it. Familiar with the model. Um and you're saying their teams are not able to install after you sell the contract >> Correct. >> up front. >> Correct. >> Um >> So, it takes too long to fulfill, the people end up canceling cuz they get tired of waiting.
1:01>> They have electricity, right? >> Correct. All right. >> So, they don't I mean Why what percentage are canceling? >> Like 40%. >> So, something's wrong with the sale. >> Yeah. >> Cuz I'll tell you a different company that I've looked at does almost the exact same thing. They just get the commitment, get the get the banking information, and then they canvass and get a big whatever percentage they need in the area first, and then once they hit that threshold, then the electrician company comes in and installs everything, and they don't have that problem. Which I think it's like you that the sales guys are being like, "It'll be live next month." and just keep saying and keep pushing it out.
1:34>> Managing expectations. >> Yeah, so um is it just be people are switching cuz it's cheaper? >> Yep. >> Yeah, so I'd be like, "Cool, are you like if I can lower your electric bill, will you say yes? Okay, cool. It's going to take 4 months. You don't have to do anything, just sign here and then you'll be the first ones to get the lower rate." >> Yeah. Okay. We'll take it. >> Solved. >> Yeah. We'll do it. >> If you're a business owner and you are not growing as fast as you like, I'd like to give you a free gift. So, my team and I put together the $100 million scaling roadmap, which is basically 200 hours of us looking over all the portfolio companies we've had and what stages of growth they went through and more importantly where they got stuck and how they got past it. And so we broke it into these 10 stages and we made this little kind of quiz thing where if you put in your business information, it'll tell you where you're at and the most important part for you, what to do for each of functions of the business across product marketing, sales, customer success, recruiting, IT, human resources and finance. And so, no matter what you're struggling with, someone else has already struggled with it and solved it. And so I'd like to give you this thing absolutely free. You can go to acquisition.com/roadmap, plug in your business information and if you want us to actually help you deconstruct the business and you're trying to scale, we'd love to help you out. On the thank you page you can just book a call with my team and we will look at the business, see if we can help and if we can, we'll invite you out to Vegas and we'll do this in person live.
