Was du mitnimmst

0:00Maria says, "I wonder how to position my expertise." Oh, no. Here we go. I have a community with three clients, business owners and people who want to make extra income online through their e-learning, social media, and digital marketing courses. But I think because I have not niched down on who I serve, so I'm hurting my business by not just having one kind of person.

0:22Yeah, I agree. Pick one. Like fundamentally every like for everyone whatever avatar you choose to serve can build you a 10 or $100 million a year business. Like I've yet to find a niche that's so small that you can't do $100 million a year in it. I've yet to find it. Like it's it's like most businesses like you have to think of it from an industry perspective. Like even my registered dietitian lady who helps people bill insurance. Like that's a big market. Like insurance is huge and obesity is huge. And so registered dietitians who sit between those the big problem of obesity and insurance who pays for it like there's a huge need there and if she becomes 10 times bigger she could do 40 million bucks a year. So I I think you don't lose by niching down and being very clear about who you serve. I do think long term uh being wider like Facebook started with college kids and then eventually you do spread out but they still started with college kids and so I think most people get a little bit ahead of themselves and also there's just the big obvious which is like I'm just going to be really frank with you guys like most of you who like are trying to like teach business for example you're not going to compete with me and I'm not saying that as a as a as a self agrandizing comment I'm saying it as just like a reality like you haven't necessarily done the same amount And so you're not going to have the same level of credibility, but like you can beat me at registered dietitian insurance billing. Like I because I have no idea.

1:46And so for that avatar, that lady will beat me at providing value. And that's okay. You know what I mean? Like that's fine. And that's like fundamentally like you beat Rome not by trying to become Rome, but you start snipping away at the borders. Like that's how the barbarians beat Rome. They didn't beat him in an all-out attack up front. They nipped at their ankles and they keep chipping away at it. And that's how empires get destroyed is one little bite at a time. And so you just want to be a little barbarian uh that just nips away at one bigger pie.
