Was du mitnimmst

0:00I want to circle back to you started this whole thing started with creator burnout and you said raise your hand and I didn't raise my hand but I was sitting this whole time being like I should have raised my hand. [laughter] I'm definitely having it. Um but I'm thankful to have it because I found something that worked and I was on a road trip across the country uh with my partner right as our business was blowing up. We were literally driving across the country doing customer service emails in the car the entire time and I was watching a video of yours and you were like just do more [laughter] and I was like yelling at her. I was like we have to do more. [laughter] So I've been doing that. Um I found a certain style of video pretty much boiled it down to a script. Um, I've just been refining it over and over again and just doing more and more and more and more of it. Um, I personally have reached my cap of like how much I just physically can do and handle. Um, and then I'm like hiring a team to like do that whole thing. So, I don't know if it's really a question, but it's like a I think that's the position I'm in, which is uh like can you just keep doing more forever and just and at what point do you trade off like the thing that is working versus like hey like you know you guys all know me as the golden ratio guy and there's like many other aspects to like my life and

1:27>> only the golden ratio >> and like the things I want to give to the world you know um so at what point do you give we were talking about depths you Mhm. >> What point do you go in and you have, you know, a Tony Robbins style thing and you you give them deeper parts of yourself like I don't know how, you know, you guys decide on your journey and >> and how do I do just more versus like, okay, I literally can't do more, but I need to do more of something else now kind of thing.

1:56>> I think I think giving yourself outlets for that is really valuable. So it's kind of like I think you know Google did this whole math proving of this but like 70 2010 um like 70% of the stuff you do is repeating successful actions. We know that this thing works but I think having the 10 and the 20 buckets longterm are really important. And so the 20% are like what are the adjacent things and the 10 is just moonshot. It's just crazy that I feel like doing that just has nothing to do with the core. But I think what like that's where a lot of the big discoveries come up because right now you found that thing right.

2:26And so the easiest analogy that I that I've come up with, maybe I'll come up with a better one, but like imagine you have all the variables of creating content as bricks on the floor, right? And if I were to do like an like if I were to run a a refresh format where it just randomly puts them on the floor again in a random selection, I would have to re hit refresh a lot of times until it becomes a building, right? And so whenever you like bottle lightning, the first thing that actually works is like you actually hit it enough times that it like boom, here's a building, and you're like, "Oh my god." And if you hit refresh again, try something new, the likelihood that that then goes into a bigger building is very small, right?

2:59And so you have this thing, but you you would like to have a second pillar, you know, of content, but we just otherwise but if you stop making money, you won't be able to do this at all, right? And so I think having that 20% that's like, okay, what's one degree? And that gives keeps your creative juice alive and then the 10% that's just wild Um, gives you enough breathing room. There is the reality that like the market does matter, right? Like there are many parts of you, not you, all of us, right? And the market will care about what it cares about and it will tell you that. It doesn't mean that we won't do it. It just means that we might not expect a return on it. And the return might not be monetary. It might be non-monetary.

3:38And as long as you're okay with non-monetary returns as in like this improves my life, I see that as just I mean just as good if not better. >> How do you correlate that with the idea of potential burnout of just doing more forever? So I actually think what happens is that if you add those 20 and 10 you will do more because you'll do it longer and so your total volume will actually go up because not on a weekly basis but on like the next 5 years basis because you didn't want to stop. So like there is the Mr. Beast version of this which is just like care nothing about yourself and just absolute pain and that path will get you the fastest biggest results with the caveat of like how long can you take it

4:17>> right and it's very tempting. >> Yeah. But >> yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Yeah, that makes sense. Sweet. >> Real quick, I'm going to show you the exact 10 stage road map from zero to 100 million plus that less than 1% of companies finish. I've now done multiple times. And so I can say with a lot of confidence that these are the stages as headcount increases that you need to get through. And I broke each of these down by eight different functions of the business. What the constraint feels like, like what are the symptoms of it when you're going through it and then what steps we actually took to graduate.

4:47And we've done this across software, physical products, uh, service businesses, brick and mortar, all of this, and it works. And it's my gift to you. It's absolutely free.
