And the key to making it work is that you want to give more free than you actually charge for. But, here's the thing. You get to control what you're charging for and how much you charge. If I wanted to sell three t-shirts, I can either say, "Hey, I want you to buy three t-shirts for $5 each." But, you know what would be a lot stronger is if I said, "Hey, buy one t-shirt for $15 and get two t-shirts free." It's a much more compelling offer even though the economics are the same.
